Foreword

Although I am trying to block everday, the commitment to dedicate enough time to do that is sometimes more challenging. I spent most of the weekend tryingto decide how I want my blog to look like and what information I want and need to talk about.

My really good friend Ashlina who introduced me to the world of blogging is the most dedicated person I know to this blogging phenomena. I have never seen anyone so informed on her subject matter and who knows exactly what to write about and what to say. She is absolutely amazing. You can check her fabulous site at http://www.thedecorista.com/

Of course this blog site is about my infinity of loving four legged farm animals who are sometimes overlooked and under appreciated for their cleverness. In our society the word "Pig" is used in so many definitive ways.

Check out this link www.thefreedictionary.com/pig on the various ways in which we use the word and it's meanings.

With all that said, I have found that blogging helps me escape from the hectic and crazy schedule we are sometimes faced with on any given day. When submerged in writing and playing with my site, a level of tranquillity sets in.

Why? would it not, when you are doing is writing and sharing about the thing you love most.

# 10 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

#10 Piggie comes all the way from Beffendorf Germany purchased by my in laws and niece. The local market REAL is kinda like a Walmart. Only Walmart stores are bigger this store caters to about 900 locals in the Black Forrest. Gisela (Sven's mother) was out shopping with Nina (Sven's niece) and she saw this piggie and immediately pulled it from the shelf and claimed it to be mine. Play the video and see if you'll agree that it is peculiar that the song sung is in English.

# 8 & # 9 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

Another contemplating issue is that because I am a true pig paraphernalia collector I usually buy two of the same kind. I always open one and proudly show it off throughout the house and one I keep in its box unopened.

Not that these pigs are worth anything but who knows 200 years from now in the same package what it could be worth. In this case, one swings from our giant grapefruit tree in the backyard.

# 7 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

As for "Piggie #7" . I called her"Norma". It was named after a good friend of the family who's clothing always had this particular pattern in it. No matter what her daily wear was, she would always have this circle pattern on either pants, socks, sweater, etc...I can even remember her having a purse with this specific pattern. I felt that Norma deserved the have a "Piggie" named after her when I found this one. You can purchase this brand of plush toys at Target www.target.com where I purchased this one. I went online and could not find this particular "Piggie" on the companies website. Although they do have another version of a plush stuffed "Piggie" (of course I ordered it). http://www.animaladventure.com/our-company.html

# 6 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

You will hear me say this far too many times but its is what it is. Another one of my favourite pigs is this little guy. It was purchased yet again in Munich Germany on one of my many visits there with my partner Sven. What it so intriguing and wonderful about this "PIGGIE" is that it is completely made out of birch bark of a tree.  The detail and time that was put into making this was by far no easy task. It sits in our house in a special area reserved for "My Prize Possession Piggies"

# 5 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

I found this lamp at believe or not "Ross Stores" in Los  Angeles. It had no lamp shade and I think it was listed for under $30. I asked the manager if they could give me a discount since the shade did not come with it. They gladly obliged. I was prepared to pay over  $100.00 for this great lamp to add to my collection. here in my blog.

When I have nothing planned on a Saturday morning, I will venture out to 3 or 4 Ross stores and check to see if they can add to my collection  of  "Piggies".

You would be surprised on how many times I find something there.

# 4 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

Although I dont really count this as part of my collection its definately the nicest thing anyone's ever done for me. On many occasions I will get something in the mail from friends or family.  something they have created, drawn, sewn, or whatever the case maybe regarding PIGGIES.

These gifts no matter if it is a colored picture from a coloring book from a niece or nephew, a knitted pair of pig socks made for me by an aunt or family friend, I hold these as my prize possessions. They mean more to me than the most expensive pig you could ever buy me. For the simple fact that that person took time to make something for "ME".

That's why I listed this as my next "PIGGIE". My partner Sven is so multi talented and I wish I had a little of that in me. He's a great fashion designer, costume designer, he cooks better than a chef, he sews, anything artistic he excels in. He decided to get into the Cake Decorating Business and sure enough he's almost mastered that. The pictures below is what he surprised me with on my birthday this past July. I can tell you that NO ONE was allowed to eat it and I still have it in the freezer.

thanks to my partner's new venture, The Cake Shack this is what he made for me. All of it was edible but no one (myself included) tasted it because I would not let anyone touch it.

Thanks Honey! It was my favorite gift yet!!~~

# 3 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

#3 "PIGGIE" in my collection was purchased in Munich, Germany on one of my many many trips visiting the in laws Gisella and Williiiiiiiii ! We spend about 3 days at the beginning of our trip in Munich and 3 days at the end of our trip in Munich at this quaint little hotel called the  "G Hotel", its like home. Around the corner from the hotel is a "farmer's type market" where we found this little gem. Hes made of hay/straw and meticulously woven and pieced together. He's one of my favourite pigs. I call this one Munich.....

# 2 of 5000 + "PIGGIES"

I promised I would add a "PIGGIE" a day from my collection to my blog but time constraints have kept me from posting on a regular basis.

Believe it or not this is one of my most valuable piggies in my collection. It's made from Italian Pewter and was given to me as a Valentine's Day gift from my partner Sven.
What a great surprise this cute little ornament was for me to open up on the most celebrated "love" holiday of the year.
